Justin Timberlake on Design!

Justin Timberlake and his interior designer, Estee Stanley, have joined forces to launch their own home decor collection, HomeMint. Here are a few samples of their work.  I didn't realize JT had such an eye for home interiors!

Here are some design tips from the duo, courtesy of http://www.elledecor.com/!

Justin on styling: At least 40% of the time when [Estee and I] say "Oh, that’s never going to work," we try it and go "wait, hold on, what? That’s really good." You have to see things in their environment.

Justin on fabrics: Get creative with fabrics—you can change up your drapes using cashmere or wool or plaid, or soften your table setting with different textiles. Think about when you go to a restaurant or store you love—it’s all been thought out so that everything complements everything else. You can do that at home by being conscious of how things tie together.

Estee: Towels aren’t all terrycloth now—they’re linen, they’re different fabrics, and they can be used as a tablecloth or a runner. There are so many things you can do with accessories that people don’t always think about.

Estee on working with what you have: People need to move their furniture around. One of the first things I do when I start working with a client is put things in different places. There’s always somewhere else where a piece might look better.

Justin: Think about the flow of your house. And as Estee said, move your furniture around. One time I moved mine and just left it that way for two or three weeks. I had company over just to see how people naturally moved around it and how the flow of the house changed. You’re creating an experience for yourself that will translate to how you entertain and how you live.
